NA PALI COAST ELOPEMENT IN KAUAI

MICHELLE & BRAD

NA PALI COAST ELOPEMENT ON THE ISLAND OF KAUAI, HAWAII

Michelle and Brad had been planning a trip to come to Hawaii for some time, and as they were planning an. idea hit and they thought “Why don’t we just elope? Being recently engaged the idea was perfect! They could make a special trip to Hawaii even more magical by making it more reason to celebrate and also turn the trip into their honeymoon.

So heres the famous question. Where in Hawaii do we elope? After chatting we contemplated many possibilities and Hawaiian islands, and Kauai turned into the perfect place for this magical adventure to happen!

Kauai is known as the garden island and famous for its Na Pali Coastline and rugged cliffs with cascading waterfalls. Kauai is lush and full of jungle and flora. One of our favorite flowers in Hawaii is the Hibiscus!

Its important to note, that if you plan on getting married in Hawaii and not at a venue it is important to be mindful of leave no trace practices and apply for a permit with the Hawaiian state parks. You’ll need a special use permit and a permit and another to marry within certain parks / locations. Don’t worry! If you have us photographing the day, we’ll be here by your side to navigate and help with the process. Your photographer will also need to be involved in coordination with the Hawaii State Parks. Allow plenty of time before your date to make sure you get your permits in time for your wedding day. It can take up to 30 - 60 days.

For Michelle & Brad’s day we started off at the red dirt waterfall near Waimea Canyon, then ventured by some of the more scenic pull offs of Waimea Canyon. Michelle & Brad had intended to officially say their vows at the summit. But in true Hawaii fashion, the moody Hawaii clouds rolled in and we couldn’t see 20 feet in front of us. So we decided to pivot and we headed back down the canyon to Polihale State Park to end the day with sunset on the beach. It turned out to be the most beautiful place for their vows and to run around as the sky changed colors on us. We were even greeted with a heart shaped cloud before sunset.

Sometimes the unexpected turn out to be the most beautiful days and every moment of this day felt so intentional and perfect. Hope you enjoy looking through M & B’s magical moments and hope this helps planning your future elopement wedding in Hawaii!
